We just got back from a long weekend of glamping at El Capitan Canyon. There was not a lot of knitting to be had, since we were constantly congregated around a campfire. Campfires are wonderful, but they are stinky when infused into sweaters. Ick. So I knit on the way there and the way back, and in little moments of rest between hikes and treks to the beach. We did get to see some wonderful fiber-producing animals, though, including the week-and-a-half old goat that I am holding, many other goats, sheep, and alpaca. The baby goat was the most cuddly, wonderful little thing I think I’ve ever experienced. Cuddlier than a kitten, and I love kittens. He was just so ready to snuggle with whoever was holding him. Never stressed, just happy with that cute little goat smile on his face. It was a blast.
